Wots news?: The Great #leadersdebate »

Hailed as a night that would change the face of politics forever, the first of three elections debates took place on ITV last night. As intriguing as the debate was, and the aftermath over the winners and losers, I can’t help but feel that it was a bit of a missed opportunity.

Take the…

Anna Bergendahl released her debut album last week, the “THIS IS MY LIFE” singer and Melodifestivalen winner will head to OSLO in May to represent Sweden for 2010’s Eurovision song contest.  Her album “Yours Sincerely” is a hit in her native home and by all accounts is a cohesive effort that showcases her storytelling skills as both a songwriter and vocalist.

Check out “THE ARMY”, which is surely a shoe-in for being the next single.

Wots news?: In It To Win It. The First #leadersdebate »

Dale Winton

It’s going to be like one of those National Lottery quiz shows isn’t it? You know the one’s presented by some B-list TV presenter like Dale Winton where the banter is wooden and the drama non-existent. In the end the big “moment” is the lottery draw where 6 balls are chosen at random (Well…

So I might be about two months too late, but guys I absolutely am living for the Diana Vickers track “Once”.  Yes, I know she ear raped us more than once (no pun intended) on the X Factor but all is forgiven thanks to the lovely Cathy Dennis who has written the song of the summer (spring doesn’t have quite the same ring to it).

Thanks to the lovely folks over at http://moopy.org.uk/forums The Race for Life charity single has been brought to my attention and is garnering more BUZZ than a new Lady GaGa video.

Check out the return of vocal powerhouse Lisa Scott Lee, eastenders Nina Wadia and X FACTORS Lucie Jones team up with hitmaker Sonique, T’Pau and 2004’s TOP TV COMEDY ACTRESS CAROLINE QUENTIN (yes, that’s right THE Caroline Quentin) to sing SMASH HIT “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”

This is BIGGER THAN We Are The World

God I love Katharine McPhee, “Say Goodbye” which is off her brand new album “Unbroken” was performed on Rachel Ray last month.  Someone needs to get her back on Idol to show the contestants how it’s done.

Katie Melua’s new single “The Flood” is actually PHENOMENAL.  If this single is anything to go by, we might just be in for a shock ALBUM OF THE YEAR for Ms Melua. Let’s hope she got rid of the dreadful Wombles man.

I could almost forgive Universal for not launching Vanessa worldwide with the last album (Somewhere in the Real World), it was perhaps a bit too middle of the road for mainland Europe and the UK but her new offering (Hazardous, which features Mr Mysterious) is actually BLINDING.   So what’s the hold up?  Tag a few of the highlights from last opus to this and you have a WINNING COMBINATION.
